The Gunpowder Plot at Eastbury Manor House
Nov 3rd to Nov 3rd | Eastbury Manor House |
Join us as we unravel the real story behind the Gunpowder Plot! Eastbury’s hosting a wide range of indoor family-friendly activities including theatre, workshops and much more!
Gunpowder, Treason & Plot
Moneypenny Productions are back at Eastbury to tell one of the most dramatic and treasonous tales in British history. With an explosive mix of storytelling and theatre, find out who has a story to tell, a sizzling secret to hide, and a message to pass on from “the other side”.
Help us light the fuse on this interactive adventure suitable for the whole family. It’s guaranteed to blow the roof off!
Performances take place at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm. Each performance is 45 minutes long. Tickets cost £5 per person, under 3’s are free!
Cake Decorating Workshop
Join us in The Buttery to decorate bonfire themed cupcakes, or let your imagination run wild with sprinkles, sugar stands and more. Our Eastbury Kitchen Chef will be on hand to offer tips and pointers on how to create a cupcake that’s (almost) too good to eat!
Children and adults welcome. Drop-in session all day. You will create a cupcake and box to take home. This workshop costs £3 per person.
Tickets are available on the door only unless purchased in advance as part of a multi-ticket. We cannot guarantee on the door availability.
Arts & Crafts
Would the little ones like a souvenir of the day to take home? Why not let them make their own! The Art & Crafts Team are back at Eastbury making a variety of themed goodies including rockets, Guy Fawkes masks and lots more.
Children and adults welcome. Drop-in session all day. Crafts cost £3 per person.
Tickets are available on the door only unless purchased in advance as part of a multi-ticket. We cannot guarantee on the door availability.
Multi-Tickets
Truly make a day of your visit and take part in all the above activities for a reduced price. Multi-tickets guarantee entry to a timed performance of your choice. Due to the nature of the drop-in workshops we cannot guarantee immediate entry but we do not anticipate you will have to wait longer than 10 minutes.
Please note that both drop-in sessions take approximately 30 minutes, so please allow enough time if you are attending the last performance of the day.
Other information
Other activities are available throughout the day, including themed children’s trails, tours, outdoor games, ongoing exhibitions and an informative film.
The Eastbury Kitchen will be serving themed treats from 11am – 4pm, including light lunches, cakes and scones, soup and hot and cold beverages.
