Learn more about the importance of Eid and the local community, everyone is welcome!
Enjoy performances from the Sufi Whirling Dervishes, the poems and drum beats of Pearls of Islam, listen to the melodic call to prayer and many more activities in Eastbury’s picturesque Grade I listed Walled Garden. Expect colourful and energetic performances, with all manner of musical instruments. The Pearls of Islam will also be welcoming everyone on stage to have a go at performing themselves!
You’ll also be able to try your hand at calligraphy at a free ongoing workshop; learn a new skill and make something to take home. If creating isn’t your thing, you could visit the henna artists who will be providing free art designs all day long.
Tours and trails will be available throughout the day, and we recommend visiting the pop-up exhibition on the history of Islam.
Food will include a delicious halal BBQ and Mediterranean cuisine as well as sweet treats and more.
