Children’s Easter Holiday Programme at Thames Chase Forest Centre

Apr 4th to Apr 13th Thames Chase Forest Centre

Week 1

Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th April between 10.30 – 12.30 (drop in for as long as you like)
Come and do an art activity, plant a sunflower and make an insect hotel.
4 activities each day
1. Tissue paper 3D flowers or a tissue paper picture
2. Bird box trail
3. Plant sunflower seeds
4. Remake the insect hotel in the tree nursery and/or make a small insect hotel to take home.

Thursday 6th April “Explore Thames Chase” Meet 10.30 for about an hour
Meet in Cely Woods Car park (Warwick Lane) at 10.30am (RM13 9EW OS Ref: TQ 560 834) for outside gentle yoga and well being activities.
Wear “sensible” shoes/boots and weather appropriate clothing

Week 2

Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th April between 10.30 – 12.30 (drop in for as long as you like)
Come and do some weaving, planting a herb cutting and make a bird box
4 activities each day
1. Weaving with either yarn or paper
2. Use the Broadfields map to mark
places animals, birds and insects live
3. Plant a herb cutting
4. Make a bird box

Thursday 13th April “Explore Thames Chase” Meet 10.30 for about an hour
Come for a gentle walk to a part of Thames Chase you may not have visited before – Harold Court Woods and do a scavenger hunt.
Meet in Tyler’s Common Car park (Nags Head Lane) at 10.30am
Wear “sensible” shoes/boots and weather appropriate clothing.
